Overview

Are you passionate about nonprofit work, youth empowerment, and helping organizations secure funding to expand their impact? We're looking for a Volunteer Grants & Fundraising Specialist to support our fundraising and development efforts. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys research, writing, online fundraising, and helping mission-driven organizations grow.

As our Grants & Fundraising Specialist, you'll help research and submit grant opportunities, manage online fundraising campaigns, and assist with platforms like GoFundMe. This is a hands-on learning opportunity perfect for students, recent grads, or anyone looking to gain real experience in nonprofit development and fundraising.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research potential grant opportunities from foundations, corporations, and government sources
  • Draft, edit, and submit grant proposals and applications
  • Track deadlines, submission requirements, and follow-up communications
  • Maintain organized records of grants and proposals
  • Assist in planning and managing online fundraising campaigns, including GoFundMe or similar platforms
  • Support reporting and documentation for awarded grants and fundraising campaigns
  • Collaborate with leadership to align proposals and campaigns with organizational goals

What We're Looking For

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience or interest in grant writing, online fundraising, and nonprofit development
  • Familiarity with crowdfunding platforms like GoFundMe is a plus
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Passion for youth empowerment and mission-driven work
