We're seeking a skilled and dependable
Oil Field Mechanic
to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining oilfield equipment including diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and heavy-duty machinery. This position requires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety.

Responsibilities:

  • Inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel and gas engines, pumps, compressors, and hydraulic systems.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on oilfield and rig equipment.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues to minimize downtime.
  • Replace and repair components such as valves, seals, hoses, and fittings.
  • Maintain accurate service records and equipment logs.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Ensure all repairs meet safety and operational standards.
  • Travel to field sites as needed for on-site repairs or maintenance.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience as a mechanic in oilfield, heavy equipment, or industrial settings.
  • Strong knowledge of diesel and gas engines (Cummins, Caterpillar, Detroit preferred).
  • Familiarity with hydraulic systems, pneumatics, and mechanical troubleshooting.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, service manuals, and technical documents.
  • Valid driver's license; CDL preferred.
  • Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Strong safety awareness and adherence to OSHA and company safety standards.

Preferred Skills:

  • Welding and fabrication experience.
  • Knowledge of ordering and measuring specific parts such as valves, stems, and seals.

  • Field service experience in oil and gas environments.

  • Diesel & gas engine knowledge (Cummins required)

  • Parts identification, measurement, and inventory management
