The ideal candidate is an upbeat professional who enjoys the culinary arts providing members with a one-of-a-kind culinary experience. Primary Responsibilities
Stewards are responsible for ensuring all pots, pans, flatware, serving utensils and other miscellaneous items are clean, sanitized and stored correctly. Stewards must adhere to all sanitation policies and protocols while embodying a members first approach mentality understanding how his/her actions and execution directly affect the member experience.

About This Role

  • Thoroughly washes and sanitizes all kitchen and restaurant dishes, glassware, utensils and other equipment using a dishwasher or by hand
  • Responsible for the proper use and maintenance of equipment
  • Maintains a working inventory of all cleaning solutions
  • Responsible for the proper handling and storage of cleaning solutions
  • Maintains cleanliness and maintenance of the dish machine and troubleshoots malfunctions when needed/ alerts Kitchen Management of problems
  • Maintains a clean and orderly kitchen area by removing trash and grease, sweeping and mopping floors and wiping down counters during shift and before leaving
  • Other duties include but, are not limited to:
  • Sweeping and mopping floors,
  • Maintaining the bathrooms
  • Taking out the trash
  • Cleaning the exterior of the building
  • Helping with food preparation
  • Perform opening and closing duties according to established side work checklist
  • Works in a clean and organized manner keeping assigned stations and service areas maintained during shifts
  • Assists other team members as needed, both with and without the direction of management
  • Maintains positive and effective communication with team members and managers regarding all relevant information, special considerations and/or concerns pertaining to our members
  • Re-stocks items and supplies as needed and alerts management of shortages
  • Communicates health and/or safety concerns/violations immediately to the management
  • Attends all informational meetings
  • Understand all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines and training programs for The Quin
  • Assists in providing training opportunities for team new members
  • Performs all other related duties as assigned
  • Assume additional tasks assigned to you by your direct supervisor or any manager of The 'Quin that are reasonable requests

Position Requirements

Who We Are Looking For

  • Experience in a hotel or restaurant preferred
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming
  • A strong team player who supports their team and embraces ownership, accountability, and responsibility for the team's work
  • Oral and written communication skills in English, second language is a plus
  • Detail oriented, good prioritization and follow up skills
  • Basic understanding of Health and Safety, Food Hygiene and Employment Legislation, and safe food handling practices preferred.
  • Open availability and flexibility to work according to the needs of the business
  • Must be able to work late nights
