About CMFCAA

The Central Missouri Foster Care & Adoption Association is a not-for-profit agency that educates, supports, and advocates for foster, adoptive, & kinship children, youth, & families in central Missouri by offering services & partnering with community & governmental agencies to develop healthy & self-sufficient individuals & families.

Currently, we are assisting over 640 foster families, over 1400 foster children, over 400 adopted children in our service area. Our goal is to be a support to the families, children and youth in this area, and we work tirelessly to provide much needed services to them.

Position Summary

The Youth Programs Supervisor provides direct program supervision, program planning and implementation, quality assurance oversight, and staff training to Central Missouri Foster Care & Adoption Associations Community Connection Youth Project program (CCYP) and other related youth programs.

The CCYP program is a replication program through our sister organization, Foster Adopt Connect. This program targets current and former foster youth, ages 17-26, as they transition from foster care to independence as adults, connecting them to community-based resources.

Other youth programs can or may include the Transitions Program and the Youth Life Skills events.

Essential Functions/Job Expectations

  • Supervise CCYP program resulting in the implementation of quality service delivery.
  • Complete timely probationary/annual employee evaluations.
  • Responsible for monitoring the workload of the Specialists and adjust as needed.
  • Responsible for identifying the training needs and professional development needs of staff supervised.
  • Ensure clients served are given proper support and advocacy.
  • Coordinate, in collaboration with the training department, training requirements and training opportunities and needs for CCYP Specialists.
  • Assign new CCYP referrals to Specialists within two (2) business days of receipt.
  • Ensure all requirements of the initial narrative process are followed by CCYP staff.
  • Ensure all requirements for other youth programs are followed as needed and outlined.
  • Review and approve client narratives, action plans, and documentation completed by CCYP staff.
  • Maintain contact and relationship building with other partner agencies and community stakeholders.
  • Responsible for making community connections to increase program referrals as assigned (e., distribute program brochures, schedule informational meetings, contact media outlets, speak at community presentations, booth exhibits, etc.).
  • Maintain strong, open communication with direct supervisor regarding services delivered, concerns or questions.
  • Review client files quarterly for ongoing quality assurance measures.
  • Oversee budget performance for program services to ensure fiscally sound operations that meet budget expectations.
  • Manage effectively within approved budget, and report accurately on progress made and challenges encountered to CPO and CFO.
  • Provide vital input in short- and long-term strategic and operational planning, evaluation and positioning within CMFCAA.

Qualifications/Credentials

  • Bachelor's Degree (master's degree preferred) in social work, psychology, public administration, or a related human services field and three (3+) years of experience working in non-profit social service agencies, including experience working with at-risk populations.
  • Lived Experience in foster care, kinship care or adopted from the child welfare system (preferred)
  • Knowledge of creating and driving the analytic framework for planning and managing organizational change in a fast-growing organization.
  • Knowledge of program development, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Ability to set priorities, proposing new ways of creating efficiencies, and guiding investment in people and systems.
  • Ability to be a strategic thinker.
  • Ability to demonstrate organizational and planning skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate commitment to the principles of support and advocacy for foster and adoptive families.

Salary

  • Salary starts at $48,058.77, commensurate with education and experience
