Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift Leader to join our team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The Shift Leader will play a crucial role in overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining food safety standards. This position requires strong leadership skills, the ability to manage a team effectively, and a passion for delivering high-quality dining experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily restaurant operations, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and company policies.
  • Manage shift schedules, including assigning tasks and monitoring employee performance.
  • Train and develop team members to enhance their skills in food management and customer service.
  • Handle cash transactions accurately and maintain financial records during shifts.
  • Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues that may arise to ensure satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with management to implement strategies for improving operational efficiency.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the restaurant, including the bar area if applicable.
  • Assist in inventory management and ordering supplies as needed.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in restaurant management or a similar supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
  • Excellent cash handling skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a diverse team effectively.
  • Experience in training development for new staff members is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to interact positively with customers and staff alike.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
