Food Pantry Driver/Resource Specialist Job Compensation:
- $19.00 to $22.78/Per Hour (depending on experience).
Food Pantry Driver/Resource Specialist Job Responsibilities:
Safely operate UMOS truck (Class 3) or van to pick up and transport donations on a daily
Perform daily safety and maintenance checks on the vehicle, report any issues to a supervisor, and keep the vehicle clean.
Maintain accurate trip logs, vehicle service logs, and other required documentation.
Arrange for and pick up food, non-food, and other resources as
Load and unload food using proper safe lifting methods. This may involve carrying heavy boxes and using equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts (with proper certification).
Weigh all donations, sort them and put them away at their designated
Ensure food is transported and handled according to food safety guidelines.
Interact professionally with donors, resource agencies, stores, community agencies,
CSBG program staff, and other UMOS programs.
Prepare food baskets according to family size
Complete client intakes distribute food and non-food
Assist with the
Maintain and organize inventory, keep storage area stocked and
Daily maintenance cleaning of all pantry areas including fridge, floors and disposing of

Food Pantry Driver/Resource Specialist Job Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Minimum two years of experience in truck driving or related field.
Ability to work with confidential information and documentation.
Must possess awareness, knowledge, and sensitivity to socioeconomic and culturally diverse backgrounds of the target populations served.
Ability to work diplomatically with difficult people and diffuse angry customers quickly and effectively.
Ability to work irregularly non-traditional hours as needed.
Bilingual in English/Spanish verbal and written preferred.
Must have reliable transportation, possess a valid Wisconsin Drivers's License and maintain adequate car insurance.
