Job Summary

The Electronic Equipment Detailer is responsible for cleaning, inspecting, and preparing electronic devices—such as laptops, desktops, monitors, and peripherals—for resale or recycling. This role ensures that all equipment meets company standards for presentation, functionality, and safety before being listed for ecommerce or shipped to clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clean and detail electronic equipment using approved tools and materials
  • Inspect devices for cosmetic damage, missing components, and signs of wear
  • Remove labels, stickers, and residue from surfaces
  • Organize and sort equipment by type, condition, and resale category
  • Assist with basic testing and verification of key functions (e.g., power-on, screen check)
  • Document condition and grading (e.g., New, Refurbished – Excellent, Good, Acceptable)
  • Package items securely for storage or shipment
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Follow safety protocols and handling procedures for electronic waste
  • Collaborate with technicians and ecommerce teams to ensure product readiness

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in electronics handling, detailing, or warehouse operations preferred
  • Basic understanding of computer hardware and peripherals
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow grading standards
  • Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with R2 or e-Stewards standards
  • Experience with ecommerce platforms or inventory systems
  • Strong organizational and time management skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
