Job Type: Full-Time

Position Overview: As a Nurse Practitioner in our Hematology-Oncology practice, you will work closely with our physicians and healthcare team to provide high-quality, evidence-based care to our patients. Your role will involve conducting patient assessments, managing treatment plans, and providing patient education and support. This is an excellent opportunity to make a significant difference in the lives of patients battling cancer and blood disorders.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical histories and physical examinations
  • Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as laboratory and imaging studies
  • Monitor patient progress, evaluate treatment outcomes, and adjust plans as necessary
  • Provide patient education and counseling on disease management, symptom control, and self-care
  • Support patients and their families throughout the treatment process, offering emotional and psychological support
  • Document patient care activities accurately and maintain up-to-date medical records
  • Maintain credentials at local hospital for in-patient rounding as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Arizona
  • For those with no prior experience in Hematology/Medical Oncology, a strong knowledge of Primary Care and Internal Medicine is desirable.
  • Excellent clinical skills.
  • Proficient in interpreting diagnostic tests and formulating treatment plans
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
  • Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and prioritize patient care
  • Dedication to providing compassionate care and advocating for the best interests of patients

Pay: $115, $135,000.00 per year
