SAP ECC Business Analyst

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled SAP ECC Business Analyst specializing in SD (Sales and Distribution) with a strong focus on Customer Service. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in analyzing, designing, and implementing SAP ECC solutions to optimize sales processes and enhance customer satisfaction. This position requires a deep understanding of SAP systems, solution architecture, and integration with various IT infrastructure components. The Business Analyst will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions aligned with business objectives, leveraging expertise in system design, system architecture, and modern IT practices.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements related to sales and customer service processes within SAP ECC SD module.
• Design and develop solutions utilizing SAP ECC SD functionalities, ensuring alignment with overall system architecture and enterprise standards.
• Collaborate with IT teams to integrate SAP solutions with other systems such as Salesforce, Pegasystems, and cloud platforms like AWS and Azure.
• Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations, workflows, and technical specifications.
• Support system testing, troubleshooting, debugging, and performance tuning to ensure optimal operation of SAP ECC SD modules.
• Implement best practices for system hardening, security protocols including cloud security measures, VPNs, firewalls, and vulnerability management.
• Facilitate continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using tools like Jenkins or Git for SAP-related developments.
• Assist in the migration or integration of SAP ECC systems with modern technologies such as microservices architectures, RESTful APIs, SOAP web services, and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
• Provide user support and training on SAP ECC SD functionalities related to customer service workflows.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies such as NoSQL databases (MongoDB), virtualization (VMware), and DevOps practices to recommend improvements.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an SAP ECC Business Analyst with specialization in SD module focusing on Customer Service processes.
• Strong understanding of solution architecture principles including service-oriented architecture (SOA), system design, and system architecture frameworks.
• Proficiency in integrating SAP ECC with other enterprise systems such as Salesforce, Pegasystems, or cloud services like AWS/Azure.
• Hands-on experience with programming languages including JavaScript, C#, Python, SQL (MySQL/PostgreSQL/MS SQL Server), and scripting languages like Shell or Bash.
• Knowledge of IT infrastructure components such as operating systems (Windows/Linux), networking protocols (DNS, DHCP), load balancing, firewalls, VPNs, and system administration.
• Familiarity with modern development methodologies including Agile SDLC practices and DevOps tools like Jenkins or Git for CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience working with APIs (RESTful API/SOAP), microservices architecture, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), virtualization (VMware/ESXi), and system hardening techniques.
• Understanding of information security principles including threat intelligence, vulnerability assessment/management, and system hardening strategies.
• Ability to analyze complex systems involving cloud security measures, distributed systems, and network management tools such as Meraki or Cisco GPO configurations.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with an emphasis on debugging complex issues across diverse environments.

We are looking for SAP ECC – SD Business Analyst with Customer Service focus. High level requirements listed below. This is for a specific project we have in mind for the next 6 months.

Requirements:

• 10 years of SAP ECC 6.0 experience as a business analyst
• Strong SAP Customer service experience - Service notifications, Return orders, repair orders processing
• Hands on experience with custom IDOC processing, file transfers, and other interface methods from SAP ECC
• Familiarity with Computer System Validation documentation for regulated Industry (Medical Device)
• Ability to debug custom SAP programs
