Overview

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Retail Sales Associate to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the face of our store, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a pleasant shopping experience for all customers. You will assist in maintaining the store's appearance, managing inventory, and driving sales through effective communication and product knowledge.

Duties

  • Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products within the store.
  • Provide knowledgeable answers to customer inquiries regarding products and services.
  • Utilize retail math to accurately process transactions and manage cash handling responsibilities.
  • Stock shelves and organize merchandise to ensure a well-presented shopping environment.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sales floor, fitting rooms, and stock areas.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations during shifts.
  • Assist in achieving sales goals by promoting products and upselling when appropriate.
  • Handle phone inquiries with professionalism, providing information or directing calls as needed.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in retail or customer service is preferred but not required.
  • Strong understanding of basic math skills for cash handling and transactions.
  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with grocery store operations is a plus but not mandatory.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn about products and sales techniques.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights as needed.
