What you'll do
- Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas) and TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding on various materials, ensuring adherence to ASME codes and standards.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to fabricate components accurately.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and machinery such as press brake machines and plasma cutters for fabrication tasks.
- Conduct pipe threading, ductwork assembly, and rigging operations with precision.
- Inspect finished products using calipers and micrometers to guarantee quality standards are met.
- Operate forklifts safely to transport materials around the construction site.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot mechanical issues and implement effective solutions.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Basic qualifications
- Proven experience in construction site environments with a strong focus on welding techniques.
Preferred qualifications
- Proficiency in FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding) methods.
- Familiarity with machining processes and soldering techniques.
- Solid understanding of basic math principles for precise measurements.
- Experience with fabrication processes including assembly of complex structures.
