Job Summary

The Cleaning Crew/Dishwashers are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the bakery with a focus on dish-washing, maintenance, trash removal, and deep cleaning with attention to detail.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Wash and sanitize all dishes
  • Collect and remove all trash regularly
  • Store clean dishes, glasses, and equipment appropriately
  • Ensure there are always enough clean dishes, glasses, and utensils especially during peak hours
  • Know and adhere to general kitchen sanitation rules
  • Clean the restrooms daily
  • Sweep and mop floors daily
  • Sanitize the kitchen and floors
  • Responsible for cleanliness of entire bakery
  • Maintain grounds around the building and patio areas
  • Stock supplies
  • Take out linen bags and replace them when full
  • Detail cleaning including bathrooms
  • Wash specific items by hand (e.g. wooden cutting boards, large pots, and knives)
  • Maintain cleaning supplies stock (e.g. detergents) and report needed items to management
  • Check washing machines' operation and promptly report any technical/performance issues

  • Familiarity with food handling, safety, and other restaurant guidelines
  • Ability to work in hot, cold, and damp environments

Education and Experience

  • Work experience as a Dishwasher
  • Hands-on experience with industrial washing machines
  • Ability to follow instructions and help with various tasks as needed
  • Time management skills
  • Attention to detail and sanitation rules
  • Ability to read and comprehend labels on chemicals
  • A high school diploma is a plus
  • Availability to work in shifts during weekends, weeknights, and holidays

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand on your feet for several hours
  • Must be able to lift 5o pounds at times
  • Ability to place cases, pans, utensils, and plates on both low and high shelves
  • Ability to work in hot and damp environments

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $ $17.00 per hour
