    Position Title: After School Campus Safety
    Location: Robichaud High School
    Reports To: Building Principal
    Date: September 26, Position Summary:
    Responsible for providing for a safe and secure school environment, fostering an optimal learning environment and acting as a deterrent to unsafe or poor behavior by patrolling the campus, monitoring student behavior, enforcing school and District policies, intervening in physical encounters, monitoring security cameras, monitoring visitors, reporting unsafe or unhealthy conditions and assisting administrators and/or public officials with emergency or investigative situations.
     
    Qualifications:
    • High School Diploma
    • Experience working with students
    Special Notice:
    This position is a 1099 independent contractor only. The responsibility for paying city, state and federal taxes is the contractor's own. This is not a district employee position. No benefits are provided.
     
    Pay Rate:
    $18.50/hour

  1. Maintain the safety and security of the students and campus, foster an optimal learning environment and act as a deterrent to unsafe or poor behavior by providing high visibility throughout the school
  2.  Walking and surveying hallways, common areas, grounds and parking lots
  3. Checking and ensuring that all prohibited areas are secured i.e. gates and doors are locked
  4. Gather students in cafeteria, divide them into groups by activity
  5.  Intervening in verbal and physical encounters among the students
  6.  Diffusing hostile situations
  7. Enforcing safe school policies regarding weapons, tobacco, illegal substances, dress code, etc.
  8. Report unsafe conditions and potential health and safety hazards to administrators
  9. Assist with the supervision of students in all after-school activities
  10. May assist administrators and police officers in the investigation of illegal activity within the school.
  11. Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
