This position will be responsible for creating artwork of a broad range of fantasy characters, creatures, armor, and weapons. The duration of this contract position would be 12 months.
This role is anticipated to be a hybrid work position, with some work on-site and some work-from-home. The potential home studio for this position is Irvine, CA or Boston, MA. We are also open to a remote agreement.
Responsibilities:
Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:
- Character focused 3d models
- Digitally painted 2d textures
- Working from provided concept art and written ideation
- Adhering to performance budgets for individual assets
- Maintaining a production schedule
- Communication with art team and stakeholders
Minimum Requirements:
- 8+ years' experience in stylized fantasy character 3d art for games
- Understanding of shape, value, lighting, and material definition of textures
- Experience painting with Photoshop and 3dcoat
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Emphasis on low poly artwork and small texture sizes
- Deep knowledge of industry standard software, 3dmax or equivalent
- Adaptability in using proprietary software
- Familiarity with asset management software

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $80, $149,400.00 Annual. These values reflect the expected base pay range of new hires across all U.S. locations. Ultimately, your specific range and offer will be based on several factors, including relevant experience, performance, and work location. Your Talent Professional can share this role's range details for your local geography during the hiring process. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
