Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Facility Mapping Specialist to join our growing team. This position will primarily focus on creating, updating, and managing facility maps that support emergency response and safety system integration.

This role is fortunate to have a hand in many cross-departmental projects, offering a well-rounded understanding of our products, systems, and company goals. You will also assist with general office tasks and customer communication.

The ideal candidate is a team player who's comfortable wearing multiple hats and stepping in wherever needed. Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Edit and enhance facility floor plan maps for clarity and accuracy.

  • Obtain building safety information and create room lists.

  • Develop maps and safety diagrams from Matterport scans.

  • Design maps on acrylic sign templates using Adobe Illustrator.

  • Utilize Illustrator to create visual diagrams and floor plan maps.

  • Maintain organized digital files in Dropbox.

  • Communicate with customers via email and telephone.

  • Coordinate with project management staff and field teams.

  • Follow direction from company management and assist with other related duties as assigned.

Skills & Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required).
  • Proficient in Adobe Illustrator (1 year minimum required).
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong spatial reasoning and map interpretation skills.

  • Excellent documentation, organization, and time management skills.

  • Strong oral and written communication abilities.

  • Professionalism and ability to work in a collaborative environment.

  • Proficient with MacOS and Google Workspace (G Suite).

Preferred Experience & Bonus Skills

  • Familiarity with:

  • Asana or other task management software

  • BuilderTrend

  • Matterport or other 3D scanning tools

  • Floor plans / blueprints

  • Dropbox organization

  • Drones or basic camera operation

  • Adobe Photoshop or Procreate (with iPad and Apple Pencil)

  • Microsoft Office Suite and Windows OS

  • Sketching, diagramming, or visual design experience

  • Willingness to travel occasionally

Schedule

  • 8-hour shift
  • Monday to Friday (9am-5pm)
  • In-office position (some flexibility may be available depending on responsibilities)
