What you'll do

  • Assist in preparing ingredients and meals, ensuring quality and freshness.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen workspaces, adhering to food safety standards.
  • Support chefs with cooking tasks, including chopping, slicing, and other food handling duties.
  • Help with serving dishes during busy meal periods to ensure timely service.
  • Participate in catering events by preparing food items as directed by the culinary team.
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently while following all safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure a positive dining experience for all guests.

Basic qualifications

  • Strong interest in cooking and the culinary arts.
  • Familiarity with knife skills and various cooking techniques.
  • Ability to handle food safely and maintain hygiene standards.

Preferred qualifications

  • Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is a plus.
  • Experience in food service or catering environments.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
  • Interested in Japanese culture
