Director of Nursing (DON) Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership: Provide vision, direction, and guidance to the nursing team, promoting a culture of excellence, compassion, and respect for patients and families.
  • Clinical Excellence: Oversee the development and implementation of high-quality care programs, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Staff Management: Recruit, hire, and retain qualified nursing staff, providing coaching, mentoring, and training to support professional growth and development.
  • Patient Care: Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring that patients receive comprehensive and compassionate care.
  • Operations: Oversee the facility's daily operations, including staffing, scheduling, and budget management.
  • Quality Improvement: Identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to enhance patient outcomes, reduce readmissions, and improve patient satisfaction.

Director of Nursing (DON) Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field.
  • Experience: Prior experience as a Director of Nursing or in a similar leadership role (n/a).
  • Licensure: Current RN licensure in New York State.
