Duties

  • Perform minimally invasive aesthetic procedures including dermal fillers, botulinum toxin treatments, dermabrasion, and laser therapies with precision and care.
  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, medical history review, and skin evaluations to determine suitable treatment plans.
  • Administer injections safely and effectively while ensuring strict adherence to aseptic techniques and medical safety protocols.
  • Manage patient intake, provide pre- and post-treatment education, and monitor for adverse reactions or complications during recovery.
  • Assist physicians during complex procedures such as laser treatments or esthetic surgeries, ensuring optimal outcomes.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate medical records using electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic or eClinicalWorks, including CPT coding for billing purposes.
  • Educate patients on skincare routines, treatment options, and expected results to foster informed decision-making.
  • Support clinical research initiatives related to aesthetic treatments and contribute to data collection efforts for continuous improvement.

  • Collaborate with the team on discharge planning, patient follow-up, and scheduling to optimize patient satisfaction and clinic efficiency.

Experience

  • Proven experience administering injections such as botulinum toxin (Botox) and dermal fillers in a clinical setting.
  • Strong background in aesthetic laser treatments, dermabrasion, or related cosmetic procedures.
  • Prior hospital or outpatient clinic experience with a focus on dermatology or cosmetic medicine is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with EMR systems like Epic or Cerner; experience with data management and medical coding (CPT, ICD-10/ICD-9) is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and skin physiology relevant to aesthetic treatments.
  • Experience working within a fast-paced environment such as an emergency room, urgent care, or outpatient surgical center is beneficial.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform physical examinations and diagnostic evaluations confidently.
  • Critical care or acute care experience—including ICU or trauma center exposure—will be considered a plus for managing complex cases or adverse events.
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology, medication administration protocols, and patient assessment techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills for patient education and team collaboration; comfort working with diverse patient populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, or post-operative care is valued.
