Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift Lead to oversee the operations of our housekeeping team within the hospitality sector. The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail skills and a background in commercial cleaning and custodial supervision. This role is crucial in ensuring that our facilities maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction. Must have a valid license, a reliable vehicle, and ability to drive work van to travel to different worksites throughout shift.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Area Supervisor in managing housekeeping staff to ensure efficient operations and high-quality service delivery.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness standards are met.
  • Train new employees on cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and company policies.
  • Collaborate with supervisor to run an efficient shift
  • Address guest complaints or concerns related to cleaning services promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring all necessary items are stocked.
  • Implement best practices in cleaning management to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Skills

  • Proven leadership abilities with experience in supervising teams in a hospitality or commercial cleaning environment.
  • Strong understanding of cleaning principles, including cleaning techniques and safety standards.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication skills for interacting with staff, guests, and other departments.
  • Experience in custodial tasks
  • Ability to train staff on best practices in cleaning and customer service within the hospitality industry.
  • A commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness while fostering a positive work environment for team members.
