Court TV in Atlanta is seeking a creative and experienced Producer, Podcasts who will produce exceptional audio content and showcase our bureau's work across digital platforms. This hybrid role offers the exciting opportunity to take podcast ideas from initial pitch to fully formed episodes while developing strong relationships with hosts and podcast teams.WHAT YOU'LL DO:Generate ideas and research topics for episodesDevelop new shows from idea to execution, working on every aspect of the processPre-interview guests and occasionally conducts interviews for podcastsMake determination as to which guest go on air, schedule their slot, and manage music selection for programsCoordinate production, including gathering any additional production elements, including ad copyStructure and write scripts for hostsRecord, edit, and mix episodesWrite copy for website and social mediaServe as the point person with third-party podcast platforms, including SoundCloud and iTunesCoordinate video, text, and other multimedia elementsEnsure that podcasts meet the highest production and editorial standardsOther duties as assignedWHAT YOU'LL NEED:BS/BA in a related discipline or equivalent years of experience preferredGenerally, years of experience in podcasting preferredWHAT YOU'LL BRING:Experience producing narrative media, including interviews and longer, more produced storytellingAudio production skills, with emphasis on editing and producing multi-element storiesExperience producing on ProTools or similar digital audio workstationsAbility to conceptualize a story from beginning to end and enhance it with multimedia elementsAbility to work quickly and efficiently under deadline pressureStrong research and writing skillsGreat communication skills and strong experience in finding and booking guests for interviewsAbility to take initiative and receive constructive feedbackExcellent interpersonal skills and the capacity to work well with a diverse group of individualsDemonstrated experience with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Adobe Photoshop, HTML, and FTPDemonstrated ability to learn new technologyDemonstrated ability to generate and execute complex creative ideas, to assimilate and organize large amounts of informationDemonstrated understanding of online communities and social networkingMust have good creative and editorial judgment; demonstrate understanding of journalistic ethics and libel laws, and work productively with news personnelBroadcast production experience preferredDigital video production experience preferredWHERE YOU'LL LIVE, WORK, AND PLAY:Atlanta, Georgia, is a vibrant metropolis that perfectly blends Southern charm with cosmopolitan energy.
