Sr Network Architect Engineer

The ISP Data Services team is seeking a Senior Network Architect Engineer to lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and high-performance network infrastructure within our data centers. This role will support mission-critical infrastructure and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

What you'll do:

• Drive large technical projects from inception to completion.
• Continuously analyzes user need, technical fit, and cost effectiveness of projects to identify ideal prioritization and feasibility of work.
• Create technical requirements for solutions based on internal and cross-organizational collaboration and feedback.
• Architect and implement advanced network solutions to support data center operations, including routing, switching, load balancing and firewall configurations.
• Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex network issues and guide internal or cross-organizational teams in resolution strategies.
• Develop and maintain documentation for network architecture, standards and procedures
• Keep stakeholders informed and engaged through frequent communication of project status and effective implementation of their feedback.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and provide recommendations on improvements to enhance performance, reliability and scalability of the data center networks.
• Ensure compliance with security policies and industry standards across all network deployments
• Participate in capacity, planning disaster recovery design and business continuity strategies
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers.
• Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional growth for yourself, stakeholder teams and the company.

What you'll need:

Required

• 5+ years of experience in network architecture or engineering within data center environments
• Expertise in enterprise networking technologies (e.g., BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VXLAN)
• Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, F5 or similar platforms
• Strong understanding of data center infrastructure, including cabling, power, and cooling systems.
• Experience with network monitoring and management tools
• Strong technical writing and presentation skills

Preferred

• Networking certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent.
• Familiarity with automation tools and scripting.
• Knowledge of cloud networking infrastructure models.
