About The Role
Business Overview
The Special or Profiled Waste business is one of Reworld's fastest-growing lines of business. With a combination of organic growth, greenfield site development, and acquisitions, Reworld now has 40 Material Processing Facilities (MPF) as part of its portfolio of 100+ facilities advancing zero waste initiatives and supporting sustainability goals through state-of-the-art technologies. These facilities (also referred to as Material Resource or Material Recycling - MRFs) process and treat through several types of solution offerings a variety of solid and liquid discarded material streams from a growing number of manufacturing and industrial customers.

Role Overview

Work Location:
Florham Park, NJ (HQ Corporate Office) is ideal. Remote work location is an option if based in the Northeast or Midwest with easy access to a major airport (prefer Philadelphia, Boston, Atlanta, Chicago, Detroit).

Travel
: Will depend on work location, expected to be around 30-50%

This is a high-visibility, senior leadership role within our Business Development team, focused on expanding REworld's MPF network, encompassing both existing and new site development and project execution.

You can expect to develop 5 to 10 new MPF or industrial materials recycling facilities per year. This will include BD focused execution from early planning through to construction and handover to operations. This role requires high-level program management, team leadership, cross-functional coordination, and risk and budget control skills. The scope includes infrastructure growth, with frequent travel and strong business and technical oversight.

Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Building

  • Lead a multi-member PM team (growing headcount).
  • Likely involved in hiring, coaching, and mentoring project managers.
  • Emphasis on high performance and accountability.

Business Development

  • Working with landowners, lessors, and company owners on the development or acquisition of property to convert to Reworld's long-term control.
  • Coordinate with sourcing and internal/ external legal teams to support the closing of multiple deals annually.

Project Portfolio Management

  • Oversee multiple concurrent projects.
  • Communicate with stakeholders (likely executive leadership and external partners).
  • Coordinate all project phases: planning, permitting, budgeting, scheduling, execution, and turnover.
  • Focus on delivering on time, on budget, and safely.

Budget & Financial Oversight

  • Manage large capital budgets across multiple sites.
  • Control costs, track expenditures, and seek savings.

Risk & Compliance Management

  • Address safety, permitting, regulatory, and environmental risks.
  • Experience with OSHA and other compliance standards is a plus.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work with engineers, architects, manufacturers, and subcontractors.
  • Must bridge the gap between technical specs and real-world execution.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business, or related discipline required; Master's degree preferred. Relevant experience in lieu of education may be acceptable.
  • Experience: 10+ years in project management required, leading project development/execution for facility or site development with full responsibility.
  • Skills: Strong leadership, construction/engineering knowledge, permitting (environmental in particular), PM tools proficiency, cost management, and stakeholder communication.
  • Tools: Microsoft Office and project management platforms (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, Smartsheet).
  • Safety: OSHA familiarity a plus.

Compensation & Benefits
Reworld is committed to paying its staff equitably, and these ranges should not be considered career salary limits or caps. The pay ranges are reviewed from time to time and may be modified in the future. Some roles may be eligible for discretionary bonuses or additional incentives.

The pay range for the primary location of this position is: $175,360 to $289,338.

The pay offered is based on factors like relevant experience, education, qualifications, certifications, skills, location, performance, internal equity, union contract (if applicable), work schedule, travel, and business needs.

In addition to salary, this role is eligible for benefits, an Annual Incentive Plan, and a Long Term Incentive Plan. Benefits include medical, prescription drug, vision, and dental plans; 401(k) plan; paid parental leave; paid time off; and paid holidays. Additional details are available at
