Your ImpactAs a Technician for Newmont's Geochemistry Lab Facility, you will ensure the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of our lab buildings, equipment, and sample-handling processes—directly supporting geochemical analysis that informs exploration and production decisions.
As Part of Our Team, You Will- Partner with Facilities Management to maintain lab buildings and oversee lease compliance.
- Manage receipt, storage, tracking, and shipping of geochemical samples.
- Assist team with routine shipments of samples and equipment.
- Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Train and oversee contract lab personnel and support staff.
- Coordinate routine checks, servicing, and calibration of technical equipment.
- Identify potential hazards and implement risk-mitigation strategies.
- Train employees and visitors on safety protocols, including legal requirements.
- Stay informed of regulatory updates impacting geochemical testing and lab operations.
- Report on vendor performance, contract status, and risks.
- High school diploma with specialization in science or engineering.
- Experience in technical facility management (laboratory or manufacturing preferred).
- Forklift certification/experience or willing to obtain while in the role.
- Ability to be on your feet most of the day and occasionally push/pull/lift up to 50 lbs.
- Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office suite).
- Region-specific health and safety certifications.
- Experience shipping equipment and import/export regulation knowledge.
- Competent proficiency in maintaining technical equipment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Foundational commercial understanding (budgets, forecasting, planning).
- Ability to adapt to changing business and stakeholder needs.
- Strong self-awareness, collaboration, and teamwork skills.
- Based in Denver, supporting a Corporate Technical function.
- Works closely with geology teams, H&S, Facilities, Supply Chain, and external labs and vendors.
- Responsible for mobile analytical equipment and adherence to Newmont accounting and safety standards.

The salary range offered for this role is USD $89, ,810. The salary range is tied to the Colorado market for jobs performed in Colorado. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience. The salary offer will not be based on a candidate's salary history at other jobs, and by law, Newmont will not seek information about salary history, and candidates should not share such information with Newmont.
This role will be eligible for participation in a discretionary annual bonus program, pursuant to which an employee may be awarded a percentage of their salary based on the company's performance and their own individual performance.
