The Applied AI Solutions Finance team in AWS seeks a Senior Financial Analyst to support our Healthcare and Life Sciences AI solutions businesses. These teams are revolutionizing patient care and how new drugs are formulated and approved. This role offers direct business partnership and will work closely with key business partners, tech leaders, and senior finance management to drive strategy and financial modeling for new solution offerings and develop first-of-their-kind pricing models for AI-native solutions. In addition, the Senior Financial Analyst will drive rhythm-of-the-business mechanisms, financial reporting and planning, cost optimization, decision support, and controllership.

As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will work directly with business leaders to identify opportunities and develop business cases. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Influencing strategic financial decisions to drive long-term growth and profitability including evaluating new solution ideas through PRFAQ support, developing new pricing strategies, and assessing investments in new services and features

• Full P&L ownership of Healthcare and Life Sciences AI solutions, including partnering with Product, Engineering, and Sales to assess financial implications of initiatives to accelerate revenue growth, improve profitability, and improve free cash flow

• Influencing private pricing deal structures to enable top line growth while ensuring controllership and margin protection

• Managing projects that significantly impact the business including partnering with engineering teams to identify and implement infrastructure cost optimizations

• Leading the OP1/OP2 and R&O planning processes including continuously evolving the forecasting approach to align with changing business needs and clearly presenting business drivers and narratives to senior leadership

• Lead deep-dive ad hoc analyses and drive insight generation in Weekly, Quarterly and Monthly Business Reviews to influence the business

• 3+ years of finance or a related analytical field experience
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)

• 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
• MBA, or CPA
• Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
• Experience in financial modeling, P&L management or analysis
• 4+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
• 4+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
• 4+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $60,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
