Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will work under the supervision of licensed physical therapists to assist in the implementation of treatment plans for patients recovering from injuries, surgeries, or managing chronic conditions. Your focus will be on providing high-quality patient care and supporting rehabilitation efforts to improve mobility and overall physical function.

Duties

  • Assist physical therapists in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering therapeutic exercises, modalities, and manual therapy techniques.
  • Monitor patient progress and report any changes or concerns to the supervising therapist.
  • Educate patients and their families on exercises, care plans, and discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments, progress notes, and other required records.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to optimize patient outcomes through effective communication and teamwork.
  • Stay informed about advancements in physical therapy practices and participate in ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of physiology and anatomy relevant to physical therapy practices.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology related to rehabilitation and patient care.
  • Experience or coursework in geriatrics, orthopedics, or trigger point therapy is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
  • Ability to develop effective care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe and supportive environment for patients during therapy sessions.
  • Valid state licensure or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant is required.

Pay: $ $55.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
