SUMMARY:

Under supervision of the Executive Director, the Warehouse Supervisor will be responsible for aiding in all areas of the daily operations of the food resource center, as assigned by the Executive Director and aligns with the values of The Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma,

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

HELP INC Operations:

· Receive deliveries, record in-kind donations, assist with unloading pallets, verify orders, and sign shipping documents.

· Work as a team with staff and volunteers to ensure smooth movement of products from the warehouse area to the shopping area, cooler, and freezer, according to First-In First-Out method.

· Ensure shelves are stocked (including walk in freezer, fridge, food pantry shelves, and dry storage), while making sure each is ready for daily operations and food distribution.

· Manage the warehouse operation and inventory according to standard food safety procedures and space utilization.

· Maintain clean working areas. This includes the dry storage, store front and warehouse areas.

· Assist with the retail pickup program; schedule and receive deliveries from other local donors.

· Monitor public areas for cleanliness and order.

· Contribute ideas on ways to improve or optimize warehousing procedures.

· Attend staff meetings as required.

· Other duties as assigned.

ADDITIONAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:

· Ability to operate forklift, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment.

· knowledge of and ability to maintain batteries in the electrical loading equipment and basic knowledge of truck maintenance including checking and maintaining fluid levels (power steering, transmission, engine oil, windshield washer fluid, antifreeze) and tire pressure.

· General building maintenance such as checking/changing conditioning filter and light bulb replacement, not required, but strongly encouraged,

· Must hold a valid driver's license, good driving record, and reliable transportation (some travel required).

· Must be able to attend mandated trainings set by our partner, Regional Food bank of Oklahoma.

· Provide back up to community events as a representation of Help, Inc. as we build a stronger community.

QUALIFICATIONS: Must be at least 18 years of age. Forklift, Walking Stacker, and Pallet jack experience. Understanding of warehouse safety. Management experience highly encouraged.

WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS: There may be extended periods of standing and/or bending; listening, talking and/or visual concentration; writing and/or computer use. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is routinely exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is moderate but may be higher when operating equipment.

SCHEDULE: 20 hours per week plus seasonal events and hours.

COMPENSATION: Negotiable at time of hiring. Anticipated pay rate per hour based on education and experience; may increase based on job performance; subject to available funding and managerial approval. 6-month probation period. Please be aware this position does not offer benefits.
