The Koch Internship Program (KIP) is a paid, 12-week experiential learning program run by Stand Together Fellowships that offers meaningful work experience at non-profits all over the United States tackling some of our nation's most pressing challenges. Eligible candidates will be geographically located within the U.S. and authorized to work in the U.S. through the duration of the program.
Throughout your internship, you will gain meaningful professional experience at a partner organization and participate in professional development built around a 2-day, in-person summit hosted by Stand Together Fellowships at Stand Together's Headquarters in Arlington, Virginia, supported by virtual programming that takes place every other Thursday between 1- 3:30 pm ET. Interns will receive either a $7,500 or $5,500 stipend from Stand Together Fellowships depending on whether they are participating full-time (40 hours/week) or part-time (24 hours/week).
The programming provided by Stand Together Fellowships focuses on three objectives:
understanding the foundational principles of a free society such as individual liberty, limited government, free markets, and the rule of law;
learning the Stand Together community's vision for change and how a principled approach to problem solving can help address society's biggest challenges; and
presenting opportunities and pathways to build a career that advances liberty and free society.

Please note that all Koch Internship Program interns MUST be available every other Thursday (Jan. 22, Feb. 12, Feb. 26, March 12, March 26, and April 9) from 1-3:30 PM ET for virtual professional development training AND the in-person summit at Stand Together's Headquarters in Arlington, VA Feb. 6-Feb. 7.
About New Civil Liberties Alliance:
The New Civil Liberties Alliance is a nonpartisan, nonprofit civil-rights organization founded to protect constitutional freedoms from administrative overreach. A key part of NCLA's mission is building and strengthening the "alliance" of stakeholders who support restoring the proper constitutional roles of the federal judiciary and the administrative state. The Engagement Associate will play a vital role in advancing this mission.
About the role
The New Civil Liberties Alliance (NCLA) seeks a highly organized, motivated full-time Engagement Associate for a full-time internship to support its engagement and events teams in strengthening the "alliance" central to NCLA's mission of curbing administrative overreach. Reporting to Director of Engagement Karen Harned and based in Arlington, VA (strong remote candidates considered), the Associate will help identify and cultivate alliance partners; assist with recruitment and programming for Summer Law Clerks and Ginsburg-Scalia Fellows; support development of an alumni activities and communications program; and contribute to events and special projects, including the King George III Award competition and planning for NCLA's 10th Anniversary Gala in September 2026.
Position Overview
NCLA seeks a highly organized, motivated Engagement Associate for a full-time internship. This role is central to the engagement and events teams and will help strengthen and expand NCLA's network of partners, supporters, and program alumni. The Associate will gain hands-on experience in outreach, programming, event support, and strategic engagement while working closely with NCLA leadership.
Key Responsibilities- Identify potential alliance partners and assist in developing and maintaining targeted contact lists.
- Support outreach and communication efforts to cultivate relationships with external organizations, scholars, and thought leaders.
- Assist with recruitment efforts for NCLA's Summer Law Clerks and Ginsburg-Scalia Fellows.
- Provide administrative, communication, and event support for programming associated with these cohorts.
- Support the development of a comprehensive activities and communications program for NCLA alumni.
- Help maintain accurate alumni records and assist in creating content to keep alumni engaged.
- Assist with planning, logistics, and programming tied to NCLA's King George III Award competition.
- Support early-stage planning and execution for NCLA's 10th Anniversary Gala scheduled for September 2026.
- Provide general events support, including vendor coordination, research, communications drafting, and onsite or virtual assistance as needed.
- Strong interest in curbing the role of the Administrative State, constitutional law, public policy, or nonprofit engagement.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and writing skills.
- Professionalism, judgment, and discretion when handling sensitive information.
- Experience with CRM systems, event planning, email tools, or outreach processes is a plus (but not required).
