About the Role

Seeking a Supply Chain Manager to lead supplier relationships, drive strategic sourcing, cost optimization, and ensure supply chain excellence for a global heavy-duty engines and industrial power systems leader. This cross-functional role partners with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams globally.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in
    Engineering, Business, Finance, or Mathematics
    (Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred).
  • 5+ years of supply chain or procurement experience in a
    manufacturing or automotive environment
    .
  • Strong understanding of
    automotive design, validation, and quality processes (PPAP, APQP, FMEA, etc.)
    .
  • Proficiency with
    Microsoft Project
    or similar project management tools.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and cross-functional leadership skills.
  • Working knowledge of
    fuel system components and internal combustion engines
    (preferred).

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage global supplier relationships across casting and plastics supply chains.
  • Identify and deliver cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality and delivery standards.
  • Support procurement activities for new product development programs.
  • Act as primary technical interface between suppliers and internal engineering teams.
  • Approve supplier pricing changes and ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Develop and negotiate supplier contracts and agreements.
  • Drive continuous improvement, risk mitigation, and on-time project execution.
  • Lead supplier program timing, reporting, and issue resolution.
  • Collaborate with finance and logistics to ensure on-time supplier payments and optimized terms.
