Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and patrol the property to ensure the safety and security of residents, visitors, and staff.
  • Enforce property rules and regulations to maintain order and prevent unauthorized activities.
  • Respond promptly to incidents, disturbances, or emergencies, providing assistance as needed.
  • Conduct regular checks of common areas, including hallways, stairwells, parking lots, and entry points.
  • Maintain a visible presence to deter criminal activity and ensure a sense of safety for residents.
  • Collaborate with property management and local law enforcement as necessary.
  • Document and report security incidents, maintenance issues, and suspicious activities accurately.
  • Provide excellent customer service to residents and visitors, fostering positive interactions.
  • Assist with access control, including monitoring entryways and verifying visitor credentials.
  • Ensure adherence to fire safety, evacuation, and other emergency protocols.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in security is preferred.
  • Valid security guard license, as required by local regulations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations.
  • Physical fitness and the ability to stand or walk for extended periods.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age or older.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Possess a DC Special Police Officer License.
  • Pass a background check.
  • Available to work weekends and holidays.
