About the role:As a Transient Analysis Engineer you will responsible for performing design basis safety analysis for nuclear reactors, in particular for non-Loss of Coolant Accidents (non-LOCA) transients.
You will report to the Engineering Manager, Transient Analysis, Safety Analysis, Risk Applications, & Licensing and be located at global headquarters in Cranberry Township. The position is hybrid, you will be on site 2 days per week. Please note that relocation assistance is not provided for this position.
Key Responsibilities:Develop and assessment of models and correlations for prediction two-phase flow and heat transfer phenomenaPerform nuclear reactor safety analysis and/or development of analysis methodologies for design basis accidentsPerform reload safety evaluations for each plant cycleBe cognizant of plant specific licensing basis, analyses of recordBe contact for plant-specific non-LOCA or containment analysis specific inquiries from both internal and external customersEvaluate impacts of plant modifications and operating changes on design analysisParticipate on project teamsCommunicate with responsible project manager on status of work projectsQualifications:
Bachelor's in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Nuclear Engineering RequiredMinimum 3.0 GPAWork with remote team through styles (email, phone, Microsoft Teams)Develop and deliver technical presentations to communicate a variety of issues: project status, problem resolution, engineering recommendations, etc.Interest in software programming and code development, while not required, is considered a benefit
Salary: We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $58,400 to $73,000 per year.
