Charter One works with schools across the country to provide all-inclusive education management services. At Charter One we pride ourselves on our thorough knowledge of charter school operations, academics, finance, human resources, information technology, marketing, and more. We handle the day-to-day work so that client school boards can focus on governance and policy issues to be sure that the vision and mission of the school are being carried out properly.

The Pre-K Teacher is responsible for creating a nurturing, stimulating, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for their students. This role involves planning and implementing educational activities, fostering social and emotional growth, and ensuring the safety and well-being of students. The Pre-K Teacher will collaborate with families and colleagues to support each child's growth and development in alignment with the school's educational standards and curriculum.

American Leadership Academy- Applied Technologies is now accepting applications for Pre-K Teachers for the academic year. Candidates must possess, or be willing to obtain, a valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance card.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Provide tools and resources for children to use and explore during learning and play activities.
  • Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the interests and learning styles of children.
  • Engage students in active learning through discussions, hands-on activities, and projects.
  • Manage classroom activities including lesson, play, breaks, and meals.
  • Establish and maintain a positive, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Implement effective classroom management strategies to ensure a productive learning atmosphere.
  • Foster open communication with students, parents, and guardians regarding student progress, behavior, and any concerns.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and participate in professional learning communities.
  • Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with educational practices, technologies, and subject matter.
  • Prepare and submit reports, lesson plans, and other required documentation in a timely manner.
  • Manage classroom resources and materials, ensuring their proper use and maintenance.
  • Participate in school-wide initiatives and contribute to the development of school policies and programs.
  • Ensure a safe and secure classroom environment, following school safety protocols and procedures.
  • Adhere to school and district policies, including those related to student health and safety.
    Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
  • Current immunizations & TB test
  • CPR/First Aid Certification
  • Food handler's card
