Role Overview

We are seeking a strategic Commercial Director to lead business growth in the Washington, D.C. market and support national commercial initiatives. This leadership role is ideal for a professional with expertise in business development, client relationship management, and commercial operations. The successful candidate will leverage D.C.'s government, technology, and professional services sectors to identify opportunities, foster strategic partnerships, and deliver measurable revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement commercial strategies tailored to Washington, D.C. and the Mid-Atlantic region, aligned with corporate goals.
  • Lead contract negotiations, pricing strategies, and partnership agreements to strengthen regional market presence.
  • Collaborate with operations, marketing, and product teams to achieve business and financial objectives.
  • Analyze local market trends and customer insights to uncover new growth opportunities.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders in the region.
  • Oversee revenue forecasting, budgeting, and commercial performance tracking.
  • Recruit, mentor, and manage a high-performing commercial team.
  • Ensure all commercial activities comply with legal, ethical, and company standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in commercial leadership, business development, or related roles.
  • Proven record of achieving consistent revenue growth in competitive markets.
  • Strong negotiation, financial, and strategic planning skills.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration abilities.
  • Experience managing hybrid and cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with Washington, D.C.'s business ecosystem and government contracting environment is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $165,000 – $175,000 (based on experience)
  • Annual Bonus: 10–20% of base salary
