Job Description

As a Security Officer - Healthcare Front Desk in Sunnyvale, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional within a healthcare location, you will be the first point of contact for visitors, patients, and staff, helping to create a welcoming and secure environment. Your responsibilities will include monitoring access, verifying credentials, and assisting with security-related protocols, all while delivering exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Greet visitors, employees, and patients at the front desk, providing a professional and welcoming presence.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying identification and visitor credentials as required.
• Assist with visitor management procedures, including sign-in and sign-out processes.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established Allied Universal procedures and site-specific policies.
• Provide customer service by answering questions and assisting with wayfinding within the location.
• Conduct security-related checks of packages and personal belongings as directed by site policies.
• Communicate and coordinate with Allied Universal management and/or site leadership regarding security-related matters, incidents, and observations.
• Support the implementation of emergency response activities as needed, following established guidelines.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
