Job Overview: We are seeking a compassionate and proactive Clinical Trial Patient Recruiter to join our team. This key role will focus on identifying, engaging, and recruiting potential clinical trial participants for ongoing research studies. The ideal candidate will be a people-oriented individual with excellent communication skills, a strong ability to establish rapport quickly, and a deep commitment to ensuring a positive, informative experience for all patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify Potential Participants: Proactively search for eligible candidates for clinical trials by utilizing various recruitment strategies, including outreach via phone, email, and social media.
- Engage with Potential Participants: Initiate warm, patient-centric conversations with individuals to discuss their eligibility and interest in participating in clinical trials, ensuring a thorough understanding of their needs, concerns, and questions.
- Inform and Educate: Provide clear and accurate information about the clinical trial process, including its benefits, risks, and time commitments. Answer questions in a thoughtful, patient-first manner to ensure the participant feels informed and comfortable.
- Schedule Screening Visits: Once interest is confirmed, coordinate and schedule the initial screening visit for eligible candidates, ensuring all logistical details are smoothly handled.
- Build Trusting Relationships: Establish and maintain rapport with potential and enrolled participants, fostering an environment of trust and support throughout the recruitment process.
- Follow-Up Communications: Manage follow-up communications to ensure participants remain informed and motivated to complete the recruitment process, addressing any barriers or concerns that may arise.
- Maintain Accurate Records: Document all interactions with potential participants in a timely and organized manner, ensuring all data is entered into recruitment systems accurately.
- Collaboration: Work closely with clinical research teams to ensure a seamless transition from recruitment to the study phase, ensuring that participant needs and timelines are met.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong Communication Skills: Ability to engage in empathetic, clear, and conversational dialogue, tailoring each interaction to the needs of the individual.
- Patient-Centric Approach: A passion for helping people, with the ability to listen and respond to participant concerns while maintaining professionalism.
- Problem-Solving: Creative in overcoming obstacles or concerns that may arise during the recruitment process, ensuring patients feel supported.
- Organizational Skills: Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple candidate interactions and schedule screening visits in an efficient manner.
- Team Collaboration: Comfortable working in a team environment while maintaining individual accountability for recruitment goals.
- Experience in Healthcare or Clinical Trials (Preferred): Previous experience in patient recruitment, customer service, or healthcare-related fields is highly desirable.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficient with office software and ability to learn new recruitment systems or software as necessary.
