Tower Technician

Job Summary

Responsible for deploying new AeroNet cell sites and maintaining the operational readiness of existing system cell sites. Install Customer CPE and provides technical support to AeroNet's customers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Direct involvement in new cell site construction including: equipment delivery, equipment and antenna installation, path alignment, cell turn up and cell optimization.
• Direct involvement in customers CPE installations and repairs.
• Responds to all NOC call outs within a specified area and contact the appropriate field staff to resolve a system problem.
• Maintains company vehicle and assigned equipment according to AeroNet technologies policy.
• Follows up on all network related issues to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Determine the cause of equipment failure using various types test equipment.
• Operate, maintain and repair all components of the system in and around the assigned area of responsibility.
• Assist where needed to identify customer system and equipment problems.
• Receive, investigate, resolve and track trouble tickets.
• Perform other essential duties assigned as required by supervisor.

Requirements

• Prior experience in field service or related field is preferred
• Ability to climb towers and work at heights
• Proficiency in using voltmeters and other relevant tools
• Familiarity with bucket truck operation is a plus
• Knowledge of telecommunication systems and equipment

Education and Experience

• 2 year Technical degree preferred
• 2+ years experience in a wireless technician role
• 2+ years experience in tower climbing
• Strong experience with wireless and data networking equipment

Certificates, Licenses and Registrations

• Comtrain or similar tower climbing training required
