POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Project Manager plays a primary function in the profitability and productivity of the Company. This position has the opportunity to work on a variety of projects within the Healthcare, Higher Education, and Institutional sectors among others. This person also plays a very critical role in providing the necessary support, guidance, direction, and supervision of the scheduling and project planning controls for the Company in the following categories; Planning, Scheduling, and Communicating with all stakeholders to achieve delivery of projects that are on-time, on-budget and within quality guidelines.

The Client is an Atlanta-based general contracting and construction management company. Their principals and employees have extensive project experience collectively spanning over a century in several markets throughout Georgia and the Southeast. Their accomplishments include the construction of projects throughout the metro Atlanta area – earning them the reputation for world-class quality and excellence.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee all stages of the project life cycle - from bidding to execution
  • Point-of-Contact for clients, subcontractors, field personnel, and senior management
  • Project bidding
  • Contract negotiation
  • Manage project budget
  • Provide timely status reports to stakeholders
  • Occasional travel to project sites
  • Project closeout
  • Business development

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10-15 years of construction management experience, preferably ground up projects
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Leadership abilities and desire to develop teams
  • Industry knowledge and ability to read blueprints
  • Detail-oriented and strong communication skills

The ideal candidate would have a realistic opportunity to become a PX or Operations Manager for the Client within 2-4 years.
