Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals and ensuring that all food safety standards are met. You will work closely with other kitchen staff to deliver exceptional dining experiences while maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards.
  • Assist in menu planning and food preparation for daily operations.
  • Ensure all food safety regulations are followed, including proper storage and handling of ingredients.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including workstations, utensils, and equipment, while assisting with cleaning dishes and what is needed.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
  • Help with catering events as needed, ensuring all dietary requirements are met.
  • Utilize proper knife skills for food preparation tasks.
  • Support the head chef in any additional tasks as required.
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs or under.

Skills

  • Experience in food service or the food industry is preferred.
  • Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
  • Strong skills in food preparation and meal preparation techniques.
  • Ability to assist in menu planning with creativity and attention to detail.
  • Experience as a dietary aide is a plus.
  • Proficient knife skills for efficient food prep.
  • Capability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong teamwork skills with a willingness to help others.
