Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Marine Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background and experience in diesel engine repair. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines and related components to ensure optimal performance and safety.

We are a Cummins certified dealer.

$2,000 sign on bonus for qualified candidates.

Company van to drive for qualified candidates.

Duties

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on marine diesel engines.
  • Diagnose mechanical issues using schematics and technical manuals.
  • Perform sea trials.
  • Perform engine overhauls.
  • Fabricate components or parts when necessary to ensure proper functionality.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed.
  • Collaborate with other service technicians to complete complex repairs efficiently.
  • Willing to work out of town and long days if needed.

Skills

  • Strong mechanical knowledge with a focus on diesel engine repair.
  • Proficient in working with hydraulic systems and performing brake repairs.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics for troubleshooting purposes.
  • Skilled in fabricating parts or components as required for repairs.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively work within a team environment.
