Responsibilities

  • Construct and install durable landscape features such as retaining walls, patios, walkways, and steps using concrete, brick, stone, and other masonry materials
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure precise execution of project designs
  • Prepare sites by grading, excavation, and setting forms for concrete pouring and finishing
  • Install rebar reinforcement within concrete structures to ensure stability and longevity
  • Operate power tools and heavy equipment safely and efficiently to facilitate construction tasks
  • Perform concrete finishing techniques including smoothing, troweling, and sealing to achieve desired surface quality
  • Collaborate with team members on renovation projects, ensuring adherence to safety standards and project timelines

Requirements

  • Proven experience in construction site work with a focus on masonry or landscape construction
  • Skilled in concrete forming, finishing, rebar installation, and tile laying
  • Proficient in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings for accurate project execution
  • Knowledge of various hand tools and power tools used in masonry and construction tasks
  • Ability to operate heavy equipment safely on active job sites
  • Familiarity with related trades such as carpentry (trim carpentry), plastering, stucco application, roofing, metal stud framing, welding, restoration work, caulking, frame carpentry, and roofing is highly desirable
  • Strong understanding of construction estimating processes for material and labor planning
  • Excellent physical stamina with the ability to stand, lift heavy materials, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Commitment to safety protocols and quality standards throughout all phases of construction projects
