He is the chair of the Pacific West Chapter of a peer-to-peer group for individuals with an average net worth of $500 million (minimum $100M), He has also had millions of downloads from recording over 1,100 episodes of his "Innovation and Leadership" podcast,

The company taking most of Jess's time is Connection Estates. We help ultra-high-net-worth families with their portfolio of luxury homes, typically valued between $30 million and $100 million. We assist them in partial or full home acquisitions, divestitures, high-end services, and operations. We make ownership effortless and provide the services for our clients to feel like royal guests at the most premium luxury hotel but in the privacy of the different homes they own. (Also, some of our cofounders previously built a $1 billion+ tech company.)

By providing direct mentorship, deep business insights, and real-world experience at the highest level in the room during negotiations and deals getting done, you are intended to accelerate your progression into senior roles with us, including executive leadership positions.

Progression Pathway

Individuals typically advance in the following way:

  • Initial phase months (Chief-of-Staff):
  • Exposure to senior leadership dynamics; mastering basics of business operations. Tasks include managing schedules, assisting in meetings, coordinating projects, handling confidential correspondence, and coordinating with our CEO's Executive Assistant and other staff and confounders.
  • You will be present for high-level meetings, board discussions, investor relations, and critical business decisions while you learn our company's business model, operations, strategic initiatives, culture, and competitive positioning. This is also a significant networking opportunity for you.

We focus on cultivating the following skillsets in you:

  • Strategic thinking and analytical ability
  • Effective communication, persuasion, and diplomacy
  • Decision-making under uncertainty
  • Project management and execution capability
  • Leadership, delegation, and people-management skills

  • Year 2-4 (Manager/Director Level):

  • Assume responsibility for strategic initiatives, special projects, or key operational areas. Lead small teams or critical company programs.

  • Year 4+ (Senior Leadership):

  • Transition into VP-level positions, general management roles, division heads, or executive leadership.

  • Long-term (Executive roles, potentially C-suite):

  • Through demonstrated capability, the individual may eventually reach senior executive roles or even succeed the executive they've worked under, becoming a natural candidate for future CEO or senior executive succession planning.

Initial phase compensation:Your choice of $100k/yr without benefits or $85k/yr with benefits (health, dental, etc).

This role is typically onsite, M-F, 8-5, in Heber, UT, but there is also regular travel with our CEO to cities like New York, LA, Miami, Palo Alto, etc. (travel is paid by the company).

8 paid holidays, +10 days paid vacation days/yr, unlimited sick days/time off for appointments.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred but not required: MBA, Finance Degree, CFA, work experience in a family office, wealth management, luxury real estate, luxury hospitality, or otherwise with ultra-high net worth individuals.
  • Be a tenacious, friendly overachiever.
  • Ability to learn quickly, keep up in a very fast-paced environment, juggling multiple projects, and
  • Experience creating business valuations and modeling investment returns is preferred.
  • A genuine passion for entrepreneurship, investing, and the luxury market.
  • Strong communication skills for phone calls and emails with millionaires, billionaires, CEOs, media contacts, Pro Athletes, top people from Hollywood, and their staff.
  • High emotional intelligence, including the ability to choose patience or kindness even when you don't feel like it. Self-regulate your emotions during high-stress times and push through to accomplish your mission.
  • Previous experience leading others and successfully helping your group overcome hardship and achieve goals.
