Job DescriptionAECOM has a position available for a Transmission Engineering Supervisor with a specialization in utility transmission design.
This position can be based out of any AECOM office located in Dallas, TX; Arlington, VA; Austin, TX; Baltimore, MD; Bloomfield, NJ; Burlington, NJ; Charlotte, NC; Chicago, IL; Cleveland, OH; Conshohocken, PA.
This position is hybrid.
The focus of your experience must be in the power delivery industry and be associated with electrical engineering with respect to the design of utility scale transmission line development.
The responsibilities of this role include, but may not be limited to, the following:
• Performs various responsibilities for a specific technical group or department.
• Has full responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating technical assignments.
• Generally requires multi-disciplinary knowledge of engineering.
• Plans and develops engineering tasks concerned with unique or controversial problems. This involves exploration of subject area, definition of scope and selection of problems for investigation and development of novel concepts and approaches.
• Maintains liaison with units within the organization and individuals inside and outside of the organization.
• Responsible for acting independently on technical matters pertaining to the field. Work at this level usually requires extensive progressive experience.
• Works under minimal supervision. Supervision received is essentially administrative with assignments given in terms of broad general objectives and limits.
• Supervises group of engineers and/or technicians, coordinating activities of the unit.

Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Structural or Electrical Engineering or related degree and 6 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
- Active Professional Engineering (PE) licensure
- Experience with PLS-CADD, MFAD, AutoCAD
Preferred Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in Power Transmission Design
- Proficiency in MS Office Software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Project)
- Experience with NESC, ASCE, IEEE, and other industry-relevant standards
- Must be able to effectively supervise a team of Engineers & Engineering Technicians while maintaining work product quality, consistency, accuracy, and reliability
- Advanced knowledge of overhead & underground Transmission facilities and understanding of their integration into daily activities
- Professional disposition and the ability to be open-minded when it comes to planning and execution of projects being worked on by staff
