About the Role

United Systems is seeking a Managed Services Specialist I to join our Managed Services Team. This position focuses on supporting and maintaining managed IT services for our clients. You'll monitor service performance, perform initial troubleshooting, assist with onboarding, and help ensure that all managed services operate efficiently and reliably.

Key Responsibilities

  • Document all activities, projects, and tickets daily in the ticketing system.
  • Monitor managed services to ensure optimal performance and alignment with client needs.
  • Update client environment documentation in IT Glue.
  • Perform new customer onboardings for managed services.
  • Assist in preparing performance reports, service reviews, and other client-facing materials for technical reviews and recommendations.
  • Provide first-level troubleshooting for managed service issues; escalate complex problems as needed.
  • Respond to client inquiries and service requests promptly and effectively.
  • Travel up to 25–50% for client evaluations and project assignments.

Expectations

  • Maintain ticket and call SLAs as defined by your manager.
  • Maintain established customer satisfaction (CSAT) scores.
  • Follow all change approval processes and company policies for time and expense reporting.
  • Submit weekly timesheets by end of shift Friday.
  • Verify and submit documentation updates after projects.
  • Collaborate with other teams, including network engineers and systems administrators, for seamless service delivery.
  • Document all notes, meetings, and client communications in ConnectWise PSA and IT Glue.

Technical Proficiencies

  • Ticketing software: Incident management, time tracking, and task allocation.
  • Network troubleshooting: DHCP/DNS configuration, diagnosing circuit or ISP issues, and using command-line tools.
  • Wireless and switching technologies: Configuration and performance optimization.
  • Firewall configuration and troubleshooting to maintain secure network environments.
  • Documentation tools: IT Glue.
  • Communication tools: Microsoft Office and Teams.
  • Software as assigned.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to handle equipment, talk, hear, read, write, and interpret documents.
  • Occasionally lift and move objects up to 25 pounds (with or without reasonable accommodations).
