About the Role: We're looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team.

You'll play a key role in managing accounting functions across multiple entities, ensuring financial accuracy, and supporting a smooth month-end close process.This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with both numbers and systems - especially QuickBooks and ERP software - and values organization, consistency, and collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, including coding, entering, and reconciling invoices, vendor bills, purchase orders, and credit card transactions.
  • Reconcile cash disbursements, payroll, and customer accounts to maintain accuracy.
  • Assist with the monthly close process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Maintain accounting records for multiple entities with attention to detail and consistency.
  • Support annual audit preparation and provide documentation to external auditors.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies within QuickBooks or ERP systems.
  • Manage purchasing and invoicing workflows, recommending updates to improve accuracy and efficiency.
  • Keep records organized and compliant with company policies.
  • Pitch in as part of the admin team when needed - answering phones, greeting visitors, or handling mail.

  • Monthly close is completed on time with accurate data across all entities.
  • Reconciliations and entries are consistent, well-documented, and audit-ready.
  • Accounting processes within QuickBooks and ERP systems are streamlined and clearly maintained.
  • Communication across departments is professional, prompt, and solution-focused.
  • You proactively spot issues and recommend process improvements before they become problems.
What You Bring
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of accounting experience, ideally in a multi-entity or manufacturing setting.
  • Experience with QuickBooks Desktop and ERP systems (Fishbowl or similar).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and solid understanding of accrual accounting.
  • Strong organization, accuracy, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborative, dependable, and self-motivated work style.

Salary and Benefits:

We provide a competitive wage range of $50-65k per year, depending on experience.
