Job Description

As a Security Guard - CRE Patrol Driver PT in Gaithersburg, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more.

As a Part-Time Security Officer, you'll use our exclusive Claim a Shift platform to view and Pick up open shifts based on your availability—giving you the freedom to build a schedule that works for you, while gaining valuable site experience across various industries. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, primarily through driving, to help to deter security-related incidents and support a welcoming environment. Your presence and routine patrols will help to maintain a secure atmosphere for tenants and visitors. You will also provide outstanding customer service and clear communication, reflecting our values of teamwork, agility, and integrity while putting people first.

Pay Rate: $19.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeSat03:00 PM - 12:00 AMSun02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a commercial real estate location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the property and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity, hazards, or maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel.
  • Collaborate with property management, tenants, and visitors to address questions and/or concerns related to security-related matters.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and/or any irregularities encountered during patrols.
  • Support Allied Universal in fostering a welcoming and secure environment for all occupants and guests at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
