Chicago, Illinois, United States LEAPFROG PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT Full time

Who We Are

As one of the fastest-growing on-the-go drinkware companies in America, we've got a reputation for doing great things. Our vision is simple - bring delight to eating and drinking.

Delight is different to everyone. Whether it's the perfect cup of coffee, or a water bottle that helps you crush your workout, our mission is to make it look great, function perfectly and cost less than you'd expect.

Delivering on this promise takes extraordinary efforts and exceptional people. Through our teams' ingenuity and grit, we've created a place where the best ideas win, and they can come from anyone. Our culture combines the scrappy spirit of a startup with the perks of a market leader.

We believe the right way to design products starts and ends with two key ingredients: process + people. Process is the path that takes us from ideas to products that are on brand, on time and on budget. People are the secret sauce that adds ingenuity every step of the way.

Together, we navigate each day with optimism, curiosity, a healthy sense of humor and a strong allergy to the word "no." This desire for better, coupled with a deep understanding of consumers' daily lives, gets us to meaningful delight.

About the Role

We're looking for a Director of Product Management to lead the vision, strategy, and execution for our growing product portfolios. This leader will play a pivotal role in shaping category direction, driving profitable growth, and guiding cross-functional teams from concept through commercialization. If you're a consumer-obsessed strategist who thrives on turning insights into innovation, this is your chance to make a lasting impact.

What You'll Do

  • Define and communicate the overarching product and category strategy, ensuring alignment with company vision and long-term growth objectives.
  • Oversee the full lifecycle of product development, from ideation through commercialization, ensuring differentiated positioning and sustainable growth.
  • Establish a framework for product line prioritization, lifecycle management, and portfolio optimization.
  • Guide the creation of product specifications, consumer value propositions, packaging, and market positioning that maximize differentiation and competitive advantage.
  • Anticipate market shifts, competitive dynamics, and consumer trends to identify opportunities for innovation and portfolio expansion.
  • Serve as the voice of the consumer and the market at the executive table, ensuring that product direction and investment decisions are informed by data-driven insights.
  • Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing product marketing team, building future leaders within the organization.
  • Lead category management by analyzing market, consumer, and competitive data to uncover insights that drive product positioning, innovation, and growth strategies.
  • Champion cross-functional collaboration, providing direction and inspiration to teams across design, engineering, supply chain, and commercial marketing.
  • Own category-level P&Ls, guiding decisions on pricing, margin strategy, and profitability.
  • Partner with supply chain and operations to inform sourcing strategy and cost optimization.
  • Deliver clear performance metrics to the executive team, connecting product marketing initiatives to business results.
  • Champion innovation breakthroughs that redefine our product categories and strengthen brand leadership.

Who You Are

  • 10+ years of experience in product marketing, brand management, or related fields, with at least 4+ years in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven track record of developing and scaling successful product categories in a consumer-focused business.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking with the ability to influence at the executive level and translate vision into action.
  • Strong financial acumen, with experience managing P&Ls and driving profitable growth.
  • Demonstrated success leading and developing high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage both internal teams and external partners.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
