Responsibilities

  • Plan, assign, and optimize daily and weekly routes, ensuring efficient use of time, resources, and operational costs.
  • Coordinate load assignments to drivers, considering availability, Hours of Service (HOS), and operational priorities. 3
  • Monitor routes in real time, making timely adjustments in response to operational contingencies such as traffic, weather conditions, delays, or emergencies.
  • Promptly report critical route changes, reassignments, or rescheduling.
  • Supervise and control compliance with Hours of Service (HOS) in accordance with FMCSA regulations.
  • Maintain constant and effective communication with drivers to ensure safe and continuous operations.
  • Ensure compliance with DOT, FMCSA, and OSHA regulations, as well as applicable state and federal regulations.
  • Immediately report incidents, delays, accidents, or operational deviations.
  • Support inspection processes, audits, and document reviews from an operational perspective.
  • Design, update, and implement policies, procedures, and growth plans for the transportation and logistics area.
  • Identify and evaluate opportunities for route expansion, new clients, or strategic alliances.
  • Define and oversee route planning and assignment policies, optimizing time, resources, and costs.
  • Ensure effective operational communication between dispatch, drivers, and administrative areas.
  • Implement controls to ensure efficiency in load management and compliance with delivery timelines.
  • Ensure that the fleet and equipment receive preventive and corrective maintenance, mitigating wear and premature failures.
  • Plan, execute, and oversee maintenance activities for all company equipment, ensuring compliance with the maintenance schedule, full tracking of work orders through completion, and the preparation and submission of reports, in accordance with the safety, operational, and quality standards of Leon Logistics Ltd.
  • Establish, supervise, and control the scheduled maintenance plan for each unit, with compliance indicators.
  • Supervise the management of the mechanical area and technical staff, ensuring quality, proper timing, and compliance with established standards.
  • Review and approve work orders, ensuring traceability, cost control, and execution timelines.
  • Request prior authorization for major repairs and oversee the inventory of critical spare parts.
  • Analyze maintenance reports and define strategies for fleet optimization, repair, and renewal.
  • Prepare, update, and control the operational budget (fuel, tolls, maintenance, payroll, among others).
  • Validate payroll reports, transportation billing, and accounts payable and receivable for the logistics area.
  • Implement strategies aimed at reducing operational costs without compromising safety or regulatory compliance.
  • Oversee safety processes, HOS control, inspections, and internal and external audits.
  • Review and follow up on accident investigations, establishing preventive and corrective actions.
  • Maintain communication with competent authorities during audits, inspections, incidents, and claims.
  • Prevent penalties through control of documentation, licenses, insurance, and permits.
  • Supervise and evaluate the performance of drivers, mechanics, and operational staff.
  • Coordinate with HR and Safety on recruitment, onboarding, training, and staff development processes.
  • Promote a positive work environment, wellness programs, and a strong safety culture.
  • Continuously monitor customer satisfaction indicators.
  • Establish, measure, and track key KPIs for the company's logistics operations

Pay: $65, $90,000.00 per year
