Position Overview
We are looking for a professional, detail-oriented painter with extensive experience in residential and commercial interior/exterior painting. The ideal candidate has 10+ years of experience, strong knowledge of surface preparation, high-end finishes, efficient workflow, and customer communication.
This role requires reliability, quality workmanship, professionalism, and pride in the craft.
Responsibilities
Painting & Preparation
- Perform interior and exterior painting for residential and commercial properties.
- Complete all surface preparation: sanding, spackling, priming, caulking, masking, and taping.
- Apply high-quality finishes using brush, roller, and spray techniques.
- Perform drywall repairs, patching, and texture matching when needed.
- Follow proper safety standards and protect all surroundings and property.
Project Execution
- Manage jobsite workflow and daily tasks with minimal supervision.
- Keep workspace clean and organized throughout every project.
- Maintain accurate time logs and material usage.
- Ensure all jobs meet company quality standards and client expectations.
Customer Interaction
- Communicate professionally with clients and team members.
- Answer questions about products, timelines, and techniques confidently.
- Represent Solara Painting with pride and professionalism.
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of professional painting experience (residential + commercial required)
- Strong knowledge of prep work, finishes, drywall repair, and application techniques
- Ability to operate ladders, lifts, spray equipment, and power tools
- Must have valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Eligibility to work in the U.S.
- Must be a full-time employee — NO subcontractors
Preferred Skills (Not Required but a Plus)
- Experience with high-end finishes (cabinet refinishing, staining, etc.)
- Knowledge of eco-friendly and low-VOC paint products
- Ability to read blueprints or interpret work orders
- Leadership or foreman experience
