Instrumentation Sales Specialist

Summary
The Instrumentation Sales Specialist applies technical knowledge of Instrumentation and Industrial Equipment product lines to drive sales, both individually and collaboratively. This person will focus on the Instrumentation and Industrial Equipment product offerings first and foremost as a solution to meet customer needs. In the event the Instrumentation and Industrial Equipment portfolio does not meet the customers specification or AML requirements, the Instrumentation Sales Specialist will propose the most applicable products to meet the specification.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Drive account sales to meet Manufacturer and JHC goals.
- Develop sales initiatives to provide goal gap closure at your managed accounts.
- Work in close conjunction with and follow up on, the JHC sales team's leads at sites in our territory and close the business.
- Strategize with manufacturers and JHC sales team for program salesopportunities.
- Support the JHC territory with technical and sales support for initial cold‐calls.
- Ensure quote qualification and quote follow‐up is being implemented and driven through Salesforce.
- Maintain routine consistent support of Vendor Managed Inventory accounts. Tube fittings. Expand to other consumables.
- Track and report pursuits on a weekly basis to management.Utilizing Salesforce as the management tool.
- Engage in cross functional selling with JHC Account Managers, JHC Project Pursuit Team and other Impact Partners as necessaryto sell products, installation, configuration, integration, start‐up and commissioning, and lifecycle support.
- Assist BU Director in managing manufacturer relationships with clients and John H. Carter Co. This will require joint calls being made with the manufacturer's representative.
- Manage growth / market impact strategies and opportunities with end users and resellers
- Coordinate activities and strategies with BU Director involving market pursuits and projects in the territory.
- Develop new customers.
- Personally manage an Account list and develop relationships within those accounts to drive increased sales.
- Manage a schedule to "touch" each of your clients with the required frequency to maintain that relationship.
- Spend the required time in product training to become proficient in the represented products.
- Role Play with Supervisor and peers to develop the selling skills needed to be successful and provide the world class Total Customer Commitment that is expected.
- Manage expenses within budgetary constraints.
- This job is demanding in terms of knowledge skills, commitment, and all other job-related qualifications. Urgency and pressure for prompt, accurate results are routine. Multi-tasking and the ability to handle and manage interruptions is expected.
- Regular and predictable attendance is essential for this position.

Education and/or Work Experience
- Bachelor's Degree Preferred
- Approximate or min. 5 yrs Instrument Sales experience in the discussed territory.
Travel
Overnight travel required is less than 10% of the time.
