Job Summary

We've innovated a new business model, splitting the traditional grooming process from bathing to clipping into bathing, pre-cutting (excluding the head), and head trimming. We require a head trim. This significantly reduces the physical and mental stress on pet groomers, allowing them to better style and serve more pets. It also significantly extends the service age of groomers to 65.

you don't need to shower at this stage. Your income is 2/6 of your grooming fees and 2/3 of your tips. The minimum wage is $150 per day. You can leave after 3:00 PM if you don't have an appointment.

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate part-time Pet Groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal grooming, ensuring that pets leave our facility looking and feeling their best. This role requires a combination of grooming expertise, customer service skills, and a love for animals.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality grooming services for dogs and other pets, including bathing, trimming, and styling.
  • Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin to recommend appropriate grooming treatments.
  • Handle and restrain animals safely during grooming procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, adhering to sanitation standards.
  • Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' needs and any concerns observed during grooming.
  • Assist in the care of animals in the facility, including feeding, walking, and monitoring health.
  • Provide excellent customer service to ensure a positive experience for pet owners.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure the overall well-being of all animals in our care.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in pet grooming is preferred; additional skills in dog training or veterinary assistance are a plus.
  • Strong animal handling skills with the ability to manage various breeds and temperaments.
  • Experience as a veterinary technician or assistant is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with animal restraint techniques to ensure safety during grooming sessions.
  • Excellent customer service skills to effectively communicate with pet owners.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed when handling larger breeds or equipment.
  • Previous experience in kennel settings or pet sitting is beneficial.
