The Department of Landscape Architecture in the Davis College of Agricultural Sciences & Natural Resources at Texas Tech University invites applications for a full-time, 9-month, tenure-track Assistant Professor position to begin in the fall 2026 semester (September 1, 2026) or earlier.

The Department seeks a colleague with diverse skills, knowledge, and experiences who will advance the landscape architecture discipline, promote critical and creative design approaches, and integrate social, technical, and biophysical processes in the design of resilient landscapes with spatial experiences that inspire and delight.

Recently, the TTU Office of Research & Innovation embarked on a campus-wide initiative focused on maximizing the impact of research and creative endeavors. In doing so, TTU identified five Strategic Research Themes, which include Systems Resilience & Adaptability, Powering Our Future, Advancing One Health, Rural & Urban Development, and Strengthening National Security.

Applicants should demonstrate how their research and teaching emphasis connects to the TTU Strategic Research Themes. Candidates who have very strong records of scholarship supported by extramural funding and who have the proven capacity or clear potential to bring externally sponsored research to TTU are encouraged to apply. Service duties include program-building, as well as a commitment to extracurricular activities. Service to the department, college, and university is expected.
